HP to unveil dv2 notebook in India

Thin is certainly in and this has been articulately imbibed by HP India. It recently launched the ultra-thin HP Pavilion dv2 notebook PC in the Indian market. The size zero notebook is merely 1-inch thin and weighs a mere 1.64 kgs.

It is equipped with 12.1-inch LED backlit widescreen display; the notebook sports a glossy finish in Espresso Black and Moonlight White. It houses a 12.1-inch diagonal HP Bright View display in a sturdy magnesium-alloy case.

Diptesh Ghosh, category head, consumer notebook, HP Personal Systems Group (PSG) India said, “This is a perfect notebook meant for consumers who value a mix of mobility, entertainment, and productivity at a competitive price.”

The other features include AMD Athlon Neo processor, ATI Radeon X1250 integrated graphics and optional ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3410 discrete graphics. HD playback is packed in through external Blu-Ray optical drive.

In addition to this, the notebook also supports optional built-in WWAN for wireless connectivity and includes an HP Webcam and integrated microphone. The notebook packs Windows Vista Home Premium and has 320GB HDD 5400 rpm SATA and 4GB DDR2 SDRAM. It is priced at Rs 37,490 plus taxes and HP claims that the notebook offers 6-8 hours of battery life.
