Lenovo recalls batteries of selected ThinkPads

Loading ...Lenovo has already issued battery recalls of selected ThinkPad models which could possibly result in “irreparable damage” or “battery cannot be charged” error messages, apart from strangely having unusually low capacity.
If you happen to own machines from the ThinkPad T60, T61, R60, R61, X60 and X61 ranges, you’d best keep in touch with the local Lenovo head office to see whether you are eligible for a free replacement or not once a battery diagnostic tool is run. Lenovo insists that the problem causes no safety issues to users, so keep your fingers crossed.
