HP Stream 8 is mid- range tablet by HP, announced in October, 2014 and released in January, 2015. It runs on Window based operating system and packs a quite decent specification. It avails free 4G data to its users every month and Microsoft office apps. It comes with 8- inch IPS display, Quad-core processor, 32GB internal storage, 5MP camera and powerful Lithium battery. It comes in a pack with tablet, USB cable, AC adapter, plugs and documentation.

Display and Design

The tablet features a 8- inch diagonal HD WVA IPS capacitive multi touch screen at front which has a display resolution of 1280x800 pixels. By attracting many eye balls, this device packs a height of 209mm, width of 123mm, thickness of 8.8mm as its dimensions along with 408 grams. It is also built with accelerometer and G- sensor.

Processor and OS

It is powered by a 1.8GHz quad- core Intel Atom Z3735G processor which is coupled with 1GB RAM to provide enough space to the data that need fast access. It runs on Windows 8.1 Operating System.

Camera and Memory

For the photography, it comes equipped with 5MP camera at the back panel that ensures wonderful camera experience. It also allows you to capture full HD videos. On the other hand, it has 2MP camera at front for the selfies and you can also capture 1080p video with it. To store the important data, it offers 32GB in- built storage which can be further expandable up to 32GB with the help of microSD card.

Connectivity and Battery

For the user connectivity, it has Wi-Fi and 3G support. It offers Bluetooth for the wireless data sharing and USB cable for the PC connectivity. To navigate the directions, this device supports GPS and A- GPS. It draws power from the Lithium Polymer 4000mAh battery which has a long lasting time period of up to 8 hours and 20 minutes.

The HP Stream 8 comes in only Black licorice. One can purchase this handset at Rs. 16,999 approximately.
