iBall Andi 5Q Cobalt Solus is a dual SIM budget smartphone introduced by the Indian company, iBall in its Andi series. It was launched in February, 2015. The Andi series holds around 20-25 handsets. The iBall Andi 5Q Cobalt Solus packs a quite decent specification which is worth enough according to the price tag. It comes with a big display, octa-core processor, wonderful camera, Android KitKat operating system, 16 GB internal memory, microSD card support and 2250 mAH battery. In addition to this, there is lot more features included in the phone.

Display and Design

The device adorns a 5-inch HD display at front with 1280x720 pixels resolution and 289 ppi pixel density. It also supports OGS touch panel which responds very beautifully to the touch gestures. Its a light weight and slim device with a thickness measured as 8.3 mm and weighs at 135 grams. While, it has a height of 143.9 mm and width of 72 mm. It comes with an elegant glass finished durable rear panel. It is also built with some sensors like proximity, light, G-sensor, magnetic sensor.

Processor and OS

At the heart, it comes powered by a powerful 1.4GHz Octa-core advanced cortex A7 processor which is coupled with a 2 GB RAM to provide ample room to the data that need fast access. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system which is an older version but it provides new applications and features to the device.

Camera and Memory

For the wonderful photography, it comes equipped with an auto-focus 13 MP camera at the back with LED flash light that not only allows you click super quality pictures but also allow photography in dim light condition. On the other hand, it has 5 MP camera at the front for selfies and video calling purpose. For the storage purpose, it comes loaded with 16 GB internal memory which can be further expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card.

Connectivity and Battery

For the user connectivity, it has 3G network, EDGE, GPRS and Wi-Fi. It also has Bluetooth for the wireless data sharing and USB cable for PC connection. For the day long backup, this phone depends upon Li-Polymer 2250 mAh battery which provides long usage period to its users worrying about charging.
