Lava Iris Pro 30+ introduced the refreshed version of its Iris Pro 30 smartphone in India, called the Iris Pro 30+ in August, 2014. Both the smartphones have similar specifications besides the processor, rear camera resolution and inbuilt storage. It is a dual SIM (GSM+GSM) handset which comes packed with box contents including battery, handset, handset, charger, data cable, user manual, warranty card, flip cover and USB cable.

Display and Dimensions

It packs a 4.7-inch IPS display with One Glass Solution offering a resolution of 1280x720 pixels, which surely offers outstanding output. It comes with a color depth of 16 million along with a pixel density of 312 ppi. Playing games and watching movies on this smartphone is going to be a visual treat for the user. The company has added few standard sensors on this handset which include accelerometer, proximity and ambient light sensor. It measures 138x67.5x7.9mm and weighs at 116 grams.

Processor and Operating System

The Lava Iris Pro 30+ supports Android 4.2 Jelly Bean Operating System, which brings all the latest features and compatibility to this smartphone. On processing front, this device carries a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor Mediatek 6589 Turbo processor paired with 1GB of RAM.

Camera and Storage

On imaging front, it comes packed with a brilliant 13MP rear camera with digital zoom and LED flash. The camera features include auto-focus, panorama, HDR and BSI sensor. The device has the capability to capture 720p HD videos. There is also a 3MP front camera on this dual SIM handset which enables video calls and self portraits. As far as memory is concerned, it contains 16GB internal storage which is further expandable through memory card slot up to 32GB.

Connectivity and Battery

The smartphone has a Li-Po 2000 mAh battery which is rated to offer up to 8 hours of talktime and up to 285 hours of standby time on 3G network whereas on 2G it provides up to 15 hours of talktime and up to 390 hours of stand-by time. It packs 3G, A-GPS, bluetooth, GPS, microUSB, WAP, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, EDGE and GPRS connectivity options.

Multimedia and Other Features

Lava has pre-installed media player on the smartphone. There is a dedicated media and video player which supports multiple formats. Further, you can download different applications, games etc to improve the productivity of this handset. There are some other features present on this smartphone which include alarm clock, calendar, clock, in-built torch, organiser, SNS integration, conference call, call recorder and language translator. It comes loaded with some pre-loaded apps such as YouTube, Gmail, Facebook, Twitter, Google Talk, Google Play and Google Search. For messaging and mailing purpose, it supports SMS, MMS, Email, Push Mail and IM services through which you can talk through messages throughout the world.
