Micromax X222 is a light weight phone announced in 2011. As Micromax has launched many successful phones like Canvas Doodle 3, A075 now the company has come back with a entry level phone 'Micromax X222' . The box contains a handset, user guide, handsfree, USB cable, charger, battery and warranty card.

Display and Dimensions

The phone packs a 2.4 inches TFT touchscreen with a display resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. It has a length of 92mm, width of 52mm and a thickness of 14mm as its dimensions and weighs around 83 grams.

Storage

The internal memory of the phone is slated at 45 KB and has an external memory of 8GB which can be used while inserting memory card slot.

Camera

Micromax X222 poses a 0.3MP secondary camera with Digital Zoom which fails to capture good quality images and is not able to record videos of high quality. It lacks front facing camera.

Connectivity and Battery

On the connectivity side, the dual SIM phone has GPRS and Bluetooth which is used to transfer songs and videos from mobile to mobile and computer to mobile. It is equipped with a 900 mAh battery which offers a talk-time of 6 hours and 157 hours stand-by time which is quite poor for long talks.

The device has video player, media player, FM, games and loudspeaker for the purpose of entertainment. These are the common features which every company provides in its handset.

Verdict

It is a cheap phone thats works on 2G network and has poor battery life. It is a compact touchscreen device that can compete with Samsung Champ.
