Wind River joined the Open Handset Alliance (OHA) back in November 2007, though there hasn’t been much news of them and Android together, until recently. Now they have announced that they will offer a commercial software solution which will be based off Google’s Android platform.

Whatever projects that they have in mind that uses Google’s Android will certainly be a boost for Android’s popularity, and should give Android the exposure that it needs.
