Sharkoon’s QuickPort Duo docking station allows you to hook up either a 2.5″ or 3.5″ SATA hard drive to a computer with relative ease sans a permanent installation procedure. With two hard drive slots available, the QuickPort Duo is able to function with a couple of hard drives simultaneously regardless of their size.
These slots are covered by folding covers to prevent dust from going in, featuring small cut-outs for notebook hard drives. Removing the drives is a snap - all you need to do is press the release button and you’re good to go.

With the amount of netbooks flooding the market these days, it makes perfect sense to pick up a portable DVD drive since you’ll still need to install new programs as well, and not all of those are downloadable online nor do they come in a USB flash drive.
This is also great for you to make quick backups from your netbook onto a DVD, as it supports DVD-RAM 5X, DVD-R 8X and CD-R/RW 24X formats. Powered by USB, the portable Buffalo DVD Multi-Drive measures a mere 141mm x 23mm x 155mm. You can pick one up for approximately $80.

Starting from January 2009, texting while driving will be considered as an illegal action. Those that do it despite the new regulation face a $20 fine the first time and a $50 for each recurring violation.
“Banning electronic text messaging while driving will keep drivers’ hands on the wheel and their eyes on the road, making our roadways a safer place for all Californians,” said Schwarzenegger. Everything regarding SMS is prohibited while driving - including sending, reading and writing text messages.
