Xperia X2 is not the only new phone announced by Sony Ericsson these days. The Swedish-Japanese company has also unveiled, in London, the Xperia Pureness, a handset that looks atypical for the Xperia family – that’s because it has something to do with Sony’s new make.believe brand direction.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Pureness is a phone with a simple design, bringing together “beautiful craftsmanship and the concept of talk, text, time – a holiday from technology.”And to continue with the PR language, the Xperia Pureness “approaches the mobile phone as a work of art rather than technology.” Reportedly, Sony Ericsson’s designers “aimed to sculpt an object of design that reflected the purity of water and a sense of calmness when not in use.”

On Thursday, Microsoft confirmed the prices for its new line of Zune HD media players making it crystal clear that it is in competition with its rival Apple iPod by costing it lower than them. The price of the Zune HD is $219.99 for a 16GB unit and $289.99 for the 32GB version.
From Thursday onwards even pre orders for the media players also have started by the Redmond, Wash.-based software giant and consumers can order at Amazon.com, Best Buy, Walmart and Microsoft. Microsoft said in a statement, that deliveries of the new Zune will begin Sept. 15, the same day the players become available for sale in stores. The new devices compete drastically in price as well as design with the iPod Touch.
Microsoft stated in May that the new units will feature a built-in HD Radio receiver, high-definition (HD) video output capabilities, organic light-emitting diode (OLED) touch screen, Wi-Fi and an Internet browser.
One analyst says that neither features nor price will attract the iPod faithful, but still some have doubted that Zune’s pricing will be enough to encourage the iPod faithful to abandon their Apple units. Earlier week, the details of the Zune HD’s pricing appeared in a leak reported by tech blog Gizmodo. However, Gizmodo’s information about the actual “General Availability” (GA) date for the units was off by a week.
Amazon had put up briefly and prematurely Zune HD pre-order page that displayed the pricing, earlier this week. But was quickly removed before Gizmodo grabbed a screen capture. Later, Gizmodo also acquired screen shots purportedly from within Best Buy that showed what turned out to be the incorrect GA date. Moreover, there were no comments by the Micrsoft spokesperson.

Asus has just unveiled its latest RT-N13U wireless router that will make it a snap to configure right out of the box thanks to the intuitive Asus EZ UI which enables users to set up and manage wireless connections, printers and scanners without breaking a sweat.
Heck, it even comes with the ability to allocate different bandwidth to various activities performed based on user preferences. Another advantage of the Asus RT-N13U would be its ability to support 24/7 downloads without the need for a computer to be left running. No idea on pricing, but the stylish Asus RT-N13U comes with an optimized antenna isolation configuration that allows one to obtain better connectivity and clearer reception.

Last week, the leak of the Rachael, the Android based stunner of a phone from Sony Ericsson was reported. The details were not revealed though and the phone was very impressive to have the details. The wait is over with Expansys revealed the valuable specifications of the Android based Sony Ericsson’s phone. The reports termed the phone as Xperia X5.
We have online retailer Expansys posting a page with a detailed description of a phone that is none other than the Rachael and surprisingly, this one comes with the “X3″ tag and not the X5 as most had expected.

According to Gizmo do, this phone sports a 4-inch 800 x 400-pixel touchscreen display and an 8 MP camera with LED flash for clicking clear pictures. It has VGA video recording and is equipped with the Rachael user interface. It has Quad-band GSM connectivity (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) and Dual-band 3G (900/2100MHz) with HSDPA 10Mbps and HSUPA 2Mbps.
The Rachael also supports WiFi IEEE 802.11g and A-GPS that helps one find their way anywhere anyplace. It also has Bluetooth 2.1 for easy transfer of files. The phone features a 3.5 mm audio jack and also has email support (POP3, IMAP4, SMTP, and MS Exchange). It also possesses a miniUSB and offers microSDHC card capabilities.
The Rachael is likely to could turn around Sony Ericsson’s fledgling fortunes. Due to the increased competition from the big rivals like Apple, Samsung and LG, the company has been struggling to maintain its overall standing in the market. On top of this the unexciting product line, almost spelled doom for the company.

The rumors says that the newer generation of iPods, specifically the new Touch that is apparently on the way will be able to provide users with a little more than just audio video and surfing. Even the reports have stated that ‘well-connected’ sources have information that the new iPod Touch would come equipped with a camera and a microphone as well.
iPod is a Wi-Fi enabled device and thus PMP could make it an upgrade by adding communication via voice and image to the media device. With the combo of the microphone and Wi-Fi, the camera Skype calling could be enabled.
Most likely other manufacturers will follow the suit. There are chances that the camera may be used as a stand alone obviously for taking pictures and the same reports are also suggesting that the microphone could make voice commands a reality for the iPod Touch, making it that much more akin to the new iPhone 3GS.

Nokia N86 8MP has the features variable aperture, which helps even in challenging bright and low-light conditions results in vibrant photos. Shorter latencies and less motion blur is ensured with the fast mechanical shutter and automatic motion blur reduction. Compared to many other camera phones the processing time between two pictures is halved.

With the high-speed connectivity of the Nokia N86 8MP, uploading pictures and videos on social networking sites like Ovi Share and Flickr is fast and simple. It has an internal memory of 8GB that provides enough space for up to 4000 photos and the memory can be increased further with an exchangeable 16GB microSD card.
To create the best mobile imaging device Nokia combined wide-angle Carl Zeiss optics and an 8 megapixel sensor, resulting in performance comparable to a stand alone digital camera. The design of Nokia N86 8MP helps to excel in both bright and low light conditions and it’s optimised for both video and still imaging.
Juha-Pekka Sipponen, director, Nokia N series, said that, “Its high-speed connectivity ensures easy and convenient sharing. People demand mobile cameras that take excellent pictures in all light conditions”. “That’s why the aperture of the Nokia N86 8MP is comparable to that of a high-quality, stand-alone digital camera. Nokia N86 8MP is very easy to use even for beginners and packs enough punch to impress an experienced photographer. Included with it is a wide-angle Carl Zeiss Tessar lens for panoramic pictures, shorter latencies and variable aperture for super sharp photos in challenging bright and low light conditions. Pictures come with less motion blur with the help of the fast mechanical shutter while the dual LED camera flash is powerful enough for excellent photography and video capture.
Helmut Heier of Carl Zeiss said that, “When it comes to taking the best digital photos, it’s the quality of the lens and the sensor that count, not just the quantity of pixels. The Nokia N86 8MP is the first mobile device with variable aperture, adding to the Carl Zeiss Tessar lens for excellent results. It has never been easier to capture special moments in such a great quality”.
Nokia N86 8MP is metal-framed and every detail of it is designed with thought and photography in mind, including 8 GB of internal memory for up to 4,000 images.
