Sharp’s new LCD HDTVs that will feature built-in Blu-ray players will be officially unveiled at CES 2009 - at least the 32″ and 42″ AQUOS DX models will make their bow there, followed quickly by a nationwide retail launch shortly thereafter. Hopefully the showfloor staff will be so kind as to furnish us with the relevant details as well, although that’s not guaranteed.

Philips has finally introduced its extremely light Essence TV that was paraded at IFA earlier this year. It is pretty amazing to see a TV tip the scales at a mere 16kg.
Well, this is made possible because most of its innards are kept in a separate box, leaving but a single cable that carries power, picture and audio to and fro the display. Each purchase will come with a leveling bracket to make it a snap when you want to hang up the Philips Essence TV.

The Powerline HD Plus Ethernet Adapter Kit will come with a couple of Powerline HD Ethernet Adapters (HDXB111), and each of these have a single 10/100 Ethernet port.

China is the major market in the world for basically anything. With a good product and a good marketing campaign, your company can make lots of money of the Chinese market. In the cell phone business that appears to be the case.
It looks like the total number of mobile subscribers in China has gone up significantly and it reached 616.02 million subscribers by the end of August. That’s twice the population of the USA. Even Europe doesn’t have as many cell phone users as China.

Corsair has released this 64GB Flash Voyager. This new USB flash drive is also bootable, letting you carry full versions of operating systems as well as applications - pretty neat, but the data transfer rate is definitely going to cause a huge bottleneck. You can pick up this for $249.99.
