Samsung has come up with a rather cool looking phone with high end features to match, and with the name such as the S8300 Ultra Touch, you know it’s got to be something special. There isn’t any official word on pricing yet.
Since Android is Google’s mobile platform, it’s only natural for the big G to continuously add new features to it. And the latest one comes to help T-Mobile G1 users to easily and quickly search stuff on Google, by using voice commands. That’s right, you won’t have to type your queries anymore if you don’t feel like it. The voice search feature is not yet available, but it will be, after the next Android update comes (which should happen starting this week).
The Fujitsu F-01A, as it is being called, will be completely waterproof and secured by a fingerprint sensor. Now, this certainly will appeal to every Japanese James Bond out there who happens to have a secret underwater Batcave, but perhaps it may appeal to other everyday folks as well.
The fingerprint sensor, nicknamed TouchStone by AuthenTec, will allow all of your personal and corporate data to be secured in much the same way you would see a fingerprint sensor used in a movie. The F-01A will also feature a 3.5 inch touchscreen, 5.2 MP camera with autofocus, Symbian OS, GPS with Google Maps, and a tuner for mobile TV.
iLuv, the company that adds a bit more flavor to Apple products, is taking the dock game up a notch with the unveiling of its latest product, the iHD171 HD Radio. While its predecessors, the i168 and i169 HD, were great docks in their own right, the iHD171 HD brings many more innovative features to the table, expanding the iPod and iPhone’s functionality to new horizons.
iHD171 HD Radio is compatible with both generations of the iPhone and almost all generations of the iPod and takes care of the basic dock functions like dual alarm clock, AM/FM tuner, and TV output to watch videos from an iPhone/iPod on the telly.
This, in combination with other awesome features like CD-quality HD radio, one-touch iTunes tagging, and jAura Acoustic Speaker Technology, makes it the perfect dock to wake up in the mornings to the user’s favorite song on his iPod/iPhone or the plain old annoying buzzer.
Nokia’s 5800XpressMusic is obviously a phone that’s geared towards music enjoyment, and Nokia is looking to drive home that point by bundling a set of Shure SE210 earphones with the phone in a special edition kit, though unfortunately this bundle is currently available in Hong Kong, and there is no mention of whether it will be available Stateside just yet. The bundle will be going on sale today for about $620.
EMG Technology LLC has just filed a lawsuit against Apple, alleging that the Cupertino company infringed upon patents filed by Los Angeles real estate developer Elliot Gottfurcht and his two co-inventors.
According to the suit, the technology in the iPhone that helps it navigate and display some websites intended for viewing on small phone screens infringes a patent that Gottfurcht and his co-inventors obtained last month.
It should be noted however, that HTC, RIM, and practically every mobile phone manufacturer of the last five years at least, have been churning out handsets that are capable of displaying the Web on small screens, but the suit is only gunning against Apple.
