Allview has announced a new smartphone the 'X2 Soul' in May, 2014. The box packs a handset, charger, USB data cable, user manual and a warranty certificate. Let's take a closer look at the specifications of this phone.

Design and Display

Allview X2 Soul has a super slim uni-body design which makes it an eye catcher. It comes with a height of 145.06mm, width of 70.06mm and a thickness of 5.55 mm as its dimensions along with a weight of 129 grams. The overall look of phone is impressive with a full HD Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen of 5.0-inches which provides a full HD resolution of 1920x1080 pixels and 441ppi pixel density. The front and back panel of the phone is protected by gorilla glass 3.

Hardware and Software

Housing the X2 Soul is a super fast 1.7 GHz Octa-core Cortex-A7 processor with MediaTek MT6592 chip-set and MALI-450MP GPU. The device has a massive RAM of 2GB and an internal memory of 16 GB. There is no memory card slot available in this phone. It runs on the Android v4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system.

Telephony and Messaging

The X2 Soul operates on GSM 900/1800/1900MHz and UMTS 900/2100MHz frequency bands. The SMS, MMS, IM, RSS, email and push mail are the messaging and emailing facilities available for this smartphone.

Camera

Allview X2 Soul has a brilliant 13 MP Sony IMX135 rear shooter which is featured with a LED flash, touch-focus, HDR, face detection, gesture shot, face beauty, smile shot, eraser, best face and Geo-tagging. While the secondary camera has a good 5 MP count. One can record 1080p full HD videos from the camera itself.

Connectivity and Battery

The connectivity attributes of the device includes 3G, GPRS, EDGE, Bluetooth v4.0 with A2DP and EDR, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct and micro USB v2.0. It comes equipped with a Li-Ion 2300 mAh battery which gives a good talk-time up to 10 hours and a stand-by time up to 230 hours.
