The CoolPad is a Chinese brand selling its smartphone in India under Dazen series. The CoolPad Dazen 1 is a budget smartphone announced in May, 2015. It falls under budget smartphone category. It comes with 5-inch screen, 8 MP camera, 2 GB RAM, Quad-core processor and 2500mAh battery. The main rivals of this smartphone available in the market are Lenovo A6000+ and Xiaomi Redmi 2. The brief description of its specification is given below:

Display and Design

The smartphone features a 5-inch HD IPS display at front and its bottom bezel packs three soft keys for navigation. It provides a picture resolution of 1280x720 pixels. The screen is ideal for watching movies, pictures and text files etc with full clarity. Appearance wise, it has curved edges and matte finish with rounded corners. Measurement wise, it holds a height of 141 mm, width of 71.5 mm, thickness of 9.3 mm and it weighs around 155 grams. Its big size and bulky design might cause difficulty in holding this phone for long hours.

Processor and OS

It is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor and Adreno 306 GPU. It is coupled 2 GB RAM to handle multiple operations efficiently so that users can enjoy lag free service. The operating system version offered on this phone is an Android 4.4 KitKat.

Camera and Memory

For the photography, it brings 8 MP camera on back panel with LED flash, f2.2 aperture and 5 pieces lens. It packs 5 MP camera on front with 2mm wide angle lens for the selfies of good quality. The front-facing camera is quite amazing according to its price range. For the storage purpose, it comes loaded with an internal memory of 8 GB which can be further expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card.

Connectivity and Battery

It offers Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS as its connectivity options. It operates on 2G, 3G and 4G network support. So, it provides faster surfing and downloading. The battery ticking inside the phone is of 2500mAh battery that delivers long usage period.
