Flipkart's Enters Tablet Market with DigiFlip PRO

The biggest Indian E-commerce company Flipkart has launched it's first tablet under brand name Digiflip Pro. Digiflip Pro XT 712 is one of the most affordable tablet from flipkart. The upside of the tablet is that despite its lower cost, the company has not cut corners in using a dated operating system.

Display and Design

It supports a 7-inch IPS HD capacitive touchscreen display with higher resolution of 1280x800 pixels. This device also comes with calling capabilities. At the bottom of the screen, it has three capacitive touch buttons for Home, Menu and Back. It has height of 185.3mm, width of 113.7mm and 9.2 mm of thickness. It weighs around 285 grams.

Processor and OS

The tablet runs on Android Operating system that is Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. The device is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek (MT8382) processor mated with 1 GB of RAM.

Camera and Storage

For imaging, the tablet is equipped with 5MP auto-focus primary camera which has 2560x1920 pixels of image resolution with LED flash for better pictures in dark light. While the front panel of the phone consists of a 2 MP camera for selfie and video calling. It comes with 16 GB of mass storage which can be further expanded upto 32 GB via MicroSD card.

Connectivity and Battery

For connectivity, the tablet comes with 3G as well as Wi-fi connectivity. Other connectivity options are Micro-USB, A-GPS, GPRS/ EDGE, and Bluetooth. The tablet is powered by a 3000mAh battery which is able to deliver up to 8 hours of talk time and up to 168 hours of standby time. It comes with Dual SIM and Dual standby support.

Shades and Price

This tab is available in Black and White color options. The black version is available on Flipkart at the price range of Rs. 9999. One can buy this tab with an EMI option which starts just for Rs. 894 monthly. The white version of the tab is expected to release soon in market. Flipkart also offers its users try and buy program in which one can try this tablet and return it within the given period of 30 days if he or she is not happy with features etc.
