Pocket Friendly Device With Decent Specifications

Huawei is a Chinese mobile company which has launched many budget and mid-range devices in the Indian market. Huawei Ascend Y520 is one of the pocket friendly device by the company released in December, 2014 in its Ascend series. The phone comes with quite decent specification like 4.5- inch touchscreen, KitKat OS, microSD support of 32GB, dual- core processor and 512MB RAM. Its sales box includes handset, battery, charger, USB cable and quick start guide.

Display and Design

The phone packs a 4.5-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen at front which provides a display resolution of 480x854 pixels. Measurement wise, it has a height of 134.2mm, width of 67mm, thickness of 10.2mm along with a weight of 150 grams. It also support multitouch gestures whether it is for camera and games. It also includes accelerometer sensor to automate some of your daily tasks.

Processor and OS

It comes powered by 1.3GHz Dual- core Cortex- A7 processor, MediaTek Mt6572 chipset and Mali- 400 GPU which is coupled with 512MB RAM to provide enough space to the data that need fast access. Running on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system it provides new apps and improved design to its users.

Camera and Memory

The phone comes equipped with a 5MP camera at the back panel, which packs an auto- focus, geo-tagging and LED flash feature to let you click images in dim light condition. It is also capable of recording 480p videos at 30fps. For the selfies, it has 0.3MP camera at front panel. For the storage purpose, it has 4GB internal memory which can also be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.

Connectivity and Battery

The phone offers Bluetooth to let you share data without any wire connection along with USB cable to ensure connectivity with other devices. Other connectivity features are Wi-Fi, GPS and 2G/ 3G support. For the backup, it has Li-Ion 1750 mAh battery under the hood which provides day long usage period.
