Huawei Honor 3X is a dual SIM smartphone launched in December, 2013. Working on both 2G and 3G network, it comes equipped with number of features like 5.5-inch IPS display, octa-core processor at a not-too-shabby price of $280. It comes in a pack with charger, battery, handset, earphone, USB cable, user manual and warranty card.

Display and Dimensions

The device packs a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display that provides a resolution of 720x1280 pixels along with 267ppi pixel density and 16 million color support. The user can easily browse, play games and do texts on this large screen without any difficulty or problem. The screen also includes compass, accelerometer, proximity and gyroscope sensors. The multi-touch phone comes with a height of 149.5, a width of 77.4, a thickness of 8.9 mm and weighs at 162 grams.

Processor and Operating System

Under the hood carries an extra powerful octa-core Cortex A7 Mediatek MT6582 processor clocked at 1.7GHz. It operates on Android v4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS customized with Emotion UI 2.0. The device's performance is supported by a 2GB RAM.

Camera and Storage

It houses a 13MP rear camera with digital zoom and LED flash that boasts a resolution of 4128x3096 pixels. The user can record 1080 pixels videos at 30 frames per second. The 5MP front camera carries a picture resolution of 2560x1920 pixels which is perfect for clicking selfies and to do video calls. The camera feature geo-tagging, auto focus and face detection. In addition to the internal storage capacity, the smartphone supports expandable memory of up to 64GB using the microSD card.

Battery and Connectivity

Connectivity attributes such as bluetooth, microUSB v2.0, EDGE and GPRS helps in staying connected with other handsets. For navigation, it supports GPS with A-GPS and Glonass. The device is energized by Li-ion 3000 mAh battery which ensures decent talk-time as well as stand-by time on 2G network.

Multimedia and Other Features

As far as multimedia department is concerned, it supports video player, music player, video recording, image viewer, 3.5mm audio jack and games. Calendar, organiser, clock, alarm clock, SNS integration and active noise cancellation are the pre-loaded features offered by the company in device.
