Low on RAM and Average Battery Life

iBall has released its new creation in Slide series which is iBall Slide 3G17. It has been made available in the market from March, 2014. It is the tablet with voice calling functionality. It also features Dual SIM (GSM + GSM ) facility with Dual StandBy support. The box contents includes a tablet, charger, handsfree, USB cable, user manual and a warranty card.

Display and Build Quality

The design of the tablet is meant very simple and casual with front panel having a big screen and rear panel having a plain metallic body. The tablet features a 7 inches LCD capacitive and multi touch display, that provide a resolution of 480x800 pixels.

User Interface and Comfort to Use

The tablet has been powered by 1.3 GHz Dual core processor and 512 MB RAM. It operates on Android v4.2 Jelly Bean Operating System. On the storage part, it has internal memory of 4 GB which can be expanded up to 32 GB with a microSD slot. It also has Accelerometer and Proximity sensors to have effective operations.

Camera and Image Quality

iBall Slide 3G17 has a rear camera of 2 MP with Zoom and Flash facility, that provides a resolution of 1600x1200 pixels. It also has a VGA front camera for video calling.

Entertainment

The tablet features image viewer, video recorder, music player and video player for entertainment. The user has the access to the various Google services and can even download numerous apps and games from the Android market. On the messaging part, it avails SMS, MMS, Email and IM. User can even enjoy Wireless FM radio. Availability of loudspeaker and the Java support, further increases its capabilities.

Connectivity Options and Battery Life

The device comes with connectivity options for 3G, GPRS, Wi-Fi, EDGE, Bluetooth, USB and Handsfree. It also has GPS with A-GPS support that helps in navigation. It comes equipped with a Li-Po battery of 2500 mAh.

Shades and Price

It can be bought in Silver and Black colors at a price range of Rs 7,649 – Rs 8,199 approximately.

Verdict

It is good to buy if you want voice calling feature and good connectivity options from the tablet. Also it has an affordable price tag. But it runs low on RAM and has average battery life, which may affect its performance.
