Overview

Budget Friendly Dual SIM Smartphone By Infocus
By Amrit

American brand Infocus entered the Indian smartphone market in March, 2015 with its M2 handset. Manufactured by Foxconn, this dual SIM smartphone comes with a budget-friendly price tag. It became the fastest-selling mobile phone on Snapdeal.com on the first day of launch. The company has added several great features in this device like 8 MP front and rear camera, 8 GB internal storage, 64 GB expandable memory and 3G support. Its features and specifications are discussed below:

Display and Dimensions

Overall this smartphone looks ordinary. The front of the device is all glass. Both the bottom and top bezels are unusually wide. It's bottom part houses the 3 regular capacitive Android navigation buttons (non-lit). The rear panel is a bit covered and seems to be inspired by the Moto G. The back cover has a matte finish which prevents smudges and fingerprints. The smartphone is quite compact and the build quality is good. It supports a 4.2-inch LCD capacitive touchscreen and provides a resolution of 1280x768 pixels at 355ppi pixel density. The outdoor visibility is good as compared to other smartphones in this price range. It is a bar shaped handset and holds a height of 135 mm, a width of 64.5 mm and a thickness of 11.1 mm. It carries a weight of 145 grams. It features accelerometer sensor, gyro sensor, proximity sensor and ambient light sensor.

Processor and Operating System

The device runs on a 1.3 GHz quad-core Mediatek MT6582 processor with 1 GB RAM. It works on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system with its custom UI.

Camera and Storage

It comes equipped with 8 MP auto-focus camera offering a resolution of 3264x2448 pixels. The camera features include digital zoom, LED flash, exposure compensation, continuous shooting, geo-tagging, f/2.2 aperture and white balance presets. The 8 MP front shooter is fairly good enough to capture beautiful selfies for your Whatsapp, Facebook and Instagram needs. It delivers the same picture resolution offered by the rear shooter. But these camera can shoot full 1080p videos at 30fps. It comes with 8 GB of internal memory which is quite good in order to save files, documents, movies and videos. It supports expandable storage of up to 64 GB through microSD card.

Connectivity and Battery

It comes loaded with good number of connectivity features like 3G, GPS, A-GPS, microUSB 2.0, Wi-Fi 802.11, b/g/n, EDGE and GPRS. It is backed by a Li-Po 2010 mAH battery. It can survive a complete day with mixed usage and a bit of gaming.

Shades and Price

The InFocus M2 comes in two shades including Black and White and costs INR 4,999.
