Finland based mobile company, Jolla is known for developing and designing rich featured mobile phones and tablets. Jolla Smartphone is a smart device announced by the company in May, 2013 and its a first handset which runs on Sailfish OS. It comes with a big screen, dual-core processor, huge memory and wonderful camera. All in all, its a perfect package of power and design.

Display and Design

The front of the phone dominates a 4.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen which has a display resolution of 960x540 pixels, display color depth of 16 Million and 245ppi pixel density. It provides a clear visuals of pictures, videos and text messages without putting stress on eyes. The dimensions of this phone are measured as 131mmx68mmx9.9mm and it weighs at 141 grams. The overall look of the phone is quite impressing that holding the phone is itself a class.

Processor and OS

Powering the phone is a dual-core Krait 300 Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor that clocked at 1.4GHz speed. The duties of clear graphics are handled by Adreno 305. Running the device is a Meego based operating system named as Sailfish OS v1. It is upgradable to v1.0.5.

Camera and Memory

It allows its users to click quality pictures by an 8MP camera on the back with LED flash, digital zoom, face detection and geo-tagging. The highest resolution one can set for the pictures is 3264x2448 pixels. While for the selfies, it has 2MP camera at front which provides a picture of 1600x1200 pixels. The phone has 16GB internal memory for the storage along with microSD card provision which can save data up to 64 GB.

Connectivity and Battery

On social networking front, it comes pre-loaded with Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. It supports 2G , 3G and 4G network frequencies. For the user connectivity, it packs a Bluetooth, GPS, GPRS, Wi-Fi, USB cable and bluetooth. For the back-up, it packs a Li-Ion 2100mAH battery which promises a 2G talktime of 9 hours and standby time of 500 hours. While, it gives 3G talktime of 10 hours.

Jolla Smartphone comes in four exciting color options like Light Blue, White, Green and Orange. It is available at INR 16,500 approximately. While, one can buy it from online stores at discounted price also.
