Karbonn telecommunications is a firm in India which was founded in March, 2009. It is a joint venture mobile manufacturing company between Bangalore-based UTL Group and Delhi-based Jaina Group. The Karbonn A93 is a dual SIM phone which was announced in June, 2014. It comes in a pack with a headset, battery, charger, USB cable, warranty card and user manual. Let's take a closer look at the specifications of this smartphone.

Design and Display

Karbonn A93 is a bar shaped device which is designed from good quality materials. The smartphone is decent in terms of looks. It comes with a TFT capacitive screen of 4.0-inches which gives a resolution of 480x800 pixels. The front panel also features three soft touch keys for options, home and back. These keys are well responsive to the input signals.

Hardware and Software

Karbonn A93 is powered by a dual-core 1.3 GHz processor and a RAM of 512 MB. The device has an internal storage of 4 GB which can be expanded up to 32 GB with the help of a micro SD card. It runs on the Android version 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system. The phone has enough power to handle the apps that are thrown on its way.

Telephony and Messaging

This dual SIM (GSM+GSM) device operates on dual-band GSM 900/1800 MHz frequencies. The user can store a huge number of contacts in it's phonebook memory. The messaging and emailing facilities available for the phone includes SMS, MMS and email.

Camera

Karbonn A93 has a good camera of 5 MP which provides a photo resolution of 2592x1944 pixels and is featured with an LED flash, digital zoom and auto-focus. The secondary camera has a 0.3 MP count which allows the users to take 640x480 resolution selfies and video conferencing.

Connectivity and Battery

On the connectivity front, the phone has GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, micro USB and hands-free connectivity. It also features GPS support for navigation. The A93 is fueled by a lithium-ion 1500mAh battery to ensure a better usage time.
