Low Cost Quad-Core Powered Smartphone

In last few years, Indian mobile companies have occupied a major share in budget friendly smartphone market in India. Among them Karbonn has emerged as one of the great shareholder. Karbonn S15 is a low cost quad- core powered smartphone announced in February, 2015. It is a dual SIM smartphone with 3G support. The box contents includes a battery, charger, user manual and warranty card. The features and specifications are mentioned below:

Display

It features a 4-inch TFT capacitive touch-screen providing a resolution of 800x480 pixels. This multi-touch device has a color depth of 16 million. It packs accelerometer sensor, proximity sensor and ambient light sensor.

Processor and Operating System

The dual SIM smartphone is powered by 1.2 GHz Quad core processor that is sufficient to give power to do multitasking along with 512 MB of RAM. It works on Android v4.4 (KitKat) operating system.

Storage and Camera

The device has in-built 4 GB internal storage which can be expended upto 32 GB with microSD card. On camera front it has a 3.2 MP primary rear camera and a 0.3 MP Front VGA camera. The rear shooter offers a resolution of 2048x1536 pixels. It also has LED flash which helps to click pictures in dim light. On the other side, front camera delivers a resolution of 640x480 pixels.

Connectivity and Battery

It provides Bluetooth GPS/A-GPS, Wi-Fi, EDGE, GPRS and USB as its connectivity features. It works on 2G (GSM 1800 / 900 MHz) and 3G (HSDPA 2100 MHz network frequencies. For backup, it is backed by a 1500 mAh battery which offers a normal talktime and standby time.

Multimedia and Messaging

For the purpose of entertainment, it comes packed with certain features such as 3.5mm jack/port, radio, music player, video player, games and voice recording. As far as messaging is concerned, it offers options like SMS, MMS, Email, Push Mail and IM.
