Huawei is a Chinese multinational company that handles network and telecommunication equipments. It was founded by Ren Zhengfei in 1987 with headquarters in Shenzhen, Guangdong. It is currently the largest telecommunication equipment maker in the world, having overtaken Ericsson in 2012. In May 2012, Huawei launched its smart phone U8651 that supports 2G as well as 3G networks. This phone supports 2G on GSM network at 850/900/1800/1900 MHz and 3G on UMTS network at 850/1700/1900/2100 MHz. This phone weighs 118grams and has dimensions as 116mm in height, 11.9mm in thickness and 60.5mm in width. It is powered with 600MHz processor and runs on Android v2.3 operating system also known as Gingerbread.

It has 3.2MP camera with digital zoom that capture images of resolution 2048x1536 pixels and allows Geo-tagging. The 3.5-inch HVGA touchscreen supports 256000 colors and has 320pixels as horizontal screen resolution and 480pixels as vertical resolution. It has 512MB of internal memory and supports micro SD card upto 32GB. It allows SMS, MMS and Email along with the support from T9 dictionary. It supports standard Li-ion battery of capacity 1400mAH. The phone supports Bluetooth, USB and GPS connectivity. Internet can be accessed through GPRS, EDGE, 3G and Wi-Fi. Other features of this phone includes calender, alarm clock, organizer, MP3 player, Video player, FM radio, Image viewer and voice recorder. It supports polyphonic, MIDI and MP3 ring tones along with vibrations. It is available in black color and at the market price of INR 10000 approximately (may vary).
