Yota has launched the world's first unique dual screen smartphone in the month of October, 2014. Here, dual screen means that the device has two displays, one on its front and other on its back. Isn't it quite innovative and cool. Let's take a closer look at the specifications of this smartphone that makes it unique in all.

Design and Display

The device is stylish as far as looks are concerned. The smartphone grabs attention of masses almost everywhere. It has got a height of 133.6 mm, width of 67.0 mm and the thickness of 9.99 mm as its dimensions along with a weight of 146 grams. The front panel of phone is dominated by a 4.3-inches IPS LCD display which has a resolution power of 1280x720 pixels and 342 ppi pixel density. The rear panel also features an electronic paper display which remains always on. This 4.3-inch rear screen has a resolution power of 640x360 pixels and a pixel density of 170 ppi. The display is protected with the world's first curved Corning Gorilla Glass which is damage resistant.

Hardware and Software

Powering the smartphone is a Dual-core Krait processor that has a clock speed of 1.7 GHz. The device comes equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chip-set which has an enough power to handle the apps. The Yota Phone runs on the Android version 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system. It is coupled to a RAM of 2 GB and an internal storage of 32 GB.

Telephony and Messaging

The device operates at GSM 900/1800/1900 MHz, HSDPA 900/1800/2100 MHz and LTE 800/1800/2600 MHz network frequencies. The user can store an unlimited number of contacts to its phonebook memory. The messaging facilities available for the device are SMS, MMS, email, push email and IM. It is also featured with a predictive text input which helps in typing.

Camera

This smartphone comes equipped with a brilliant rear camera of 13 MP which is featured with an autofocus and LED flash. It can capture 4128x3096 pixels resolution pictures at the most. The secondary camera has a 1 MP count which allows the user to make a video call. One can also take 1280x960 pixels resolution selfies.

Connectivity and Battery

The networking and connectivity options available for the device include 3G, 4G, GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi, micro USB, GPS with A-GPS support and hands-free connectivity. Backing up the device is a Li-ion 1800 mAh battery.
