Sony Xperia T2 Ultra was announced in January 2014 and released in March 2014. T2 Ultra is assumed to be available in the Indian market by 20th March, 2014. This phone is claimed as the successor of Experia T. It is a dual SIM phone which supports both 2G and 3G network with dual stand-by feature. It comes with 1GB RAM and an internal memory of 8GB which can be expanded up to 32GB with the help of a microSD card. It is equipped with various sensors like Accelerometer, Compass, Gyro Sensor and Proximity sensor which enhances its performance in different applications.

 T2 Ultra has a 6-inches TFT display with vivid 16 million colors and provides a picture resolution of 720x1280pixels with a multi-touch feature up to 10 fingers. Display of this phablet is built with the same ground breaking technology as used in BRAVIA TVs which gives sharp images and great colors. Dimensions of the phone are 165.2x83.8x7.7 mm and the weight of the phone is 171.8 grams which is very light as compared to other phablets. It runs on Android v4.3 Jelly Bean OS and packs a 1.4GHz processor powered by a Qualcomm MSM8928 chipset and graphic processor Adreno 305. It is installed with a v4.0 bluetooth with A2DP which provides faster file transfer rate and a Wi-Fi v802.11. With HSDPA it provides a data speed of 42Mbps and with HSUPA it is 5.76Mbps.

Xperia T2 has got a 13MP primary camera with a resolution of 4128x3096 pixels, auto-focus, face detection, geo-tagging, digital zoom, image stabilization and many such features which enhances the picture quality of the camera. It also has a secondary camera of 1.1MP which provides image of resolution 1280X1024 pixels and video resolution of 1080@30fps with smile detection and image stabilization features. In addition to pre-installed apps there more apps that one can download. Some of the apps are time shift burst which captures 31 frames in just 2 seconds and one can select the best picture from them, AR effect allows the user to add funny animations to the pictures and themes can also be customized completely.  T2 Ultra dual SIM is powered with a 3000mAh Li-Ion battery which provides a maximum stand-by time of up to 1120 hours with 2G network and 1093 hours with 3G network and a talk time of 16 hours on 2G network and 13 hours with 3G network.

Xperia T2 has introduced the battery STAMINA mode which automatically turns off the running apps, when the phone is idle. It will overcome the battery drainage problem faced by most of the smartphones. It is available in the market in Black, White and Purple colors at a price of INR 25,990.
